As I have time, I'll start adding digitized documents here. These would be old photo albums or other copyright-free books that I've digitized and you can't find anywhere else. Maybe, just maybe, your ancestor's name will show up in the document and this will be a goldmine!

A number of years ago, a client let me borrow an old Civil War era photo album that was full of pictures to aid in their project. It wasn't possible to put it on a flatbed scanner, so I took iPhone photos of each page and then compiled them into a PDF. This family was in Indiana around the Civil War and earlier. This was the property of Christiana Way (1831-1914), wife of John D. Chance (1835-1875). Both of them were born in Pennsylvania. P. 4-5 are Christiana's father, John Way (1797-1869). P. 7-8 are 2 sisters of Christiana Way Chance, one named Charlotte (1836-1925), wife of Richard D. Brecknell. P. 10-11 are the parents of Christiana Way Chance, John Way (1797-1869) and Hannah Bringens (1802-1875) P. 12-13 are photos of John D. Chance (1835-1875), Christiana's husband, who died during a dentist visit. P. 29-31 are a Baker family - J.O. Baker, May A. Baker and their presumed daughter Ellen A. Baker. Unsure how they're related to the Way family. P. 54 is a newspaper clipping of an obituary of Frederic Blake b. 1827 Baden Germany, came to Pittsburgh in 1851, Civil War vet and d. 1901 in Indianapolis.

George Vincent Oxley 1880s-1890s Ledger

George Vincent Oxley (1856-1916) kept a daily ledger for most of his adult life. If you have family from the Clear Lake, Iowa and Ventura, Iowa area from that time period, you may want to check this ledger for business dealings he had with other area businesses and farmers. The ledger was not in a condition to use a flatbed scanner, so I photographed the pages and compiled a PDF of them.
