I wonder what percentage of people had an Aunt Minnie. I would wager it's a high number. I had at least two Great or Great-Great Minnies.
Minnie was commonly a diminutive form of Mary. It was also common among German speakers for the name Wilhelmina. And sometimes, Minnie's given name was Minnie.
This photo is the last of a batch of recent acquisitions. It's labeled "Aunt Minnie Lloyd Devine, about 1908." She would have been about 37 in this photo.
As far as I can tell, her given name was simply Minnie.
