When researching in an area you're not terribly familiar with, I highly recommend you seek out Facebook groups for that area to receive instant help and find new tools for your researching.
As an example, I joined a Prussian/German Genealogy Group and at the top of the page, they had loads of resources pinned and files that were uploaded by members. A quick search of the group's posts contained references to the same tiny village I was researching along with links to repositories in Germany.
This can take 1 minute of your time to find SO many helpful resources.
